A belated thank you to Floss over at http://trocbroc.blogspot.com/ where I won her wonderful giveaway of French magazines (home and garden). I've really enjoyed perusing through these editions.
Thank You Floss!!
Everything is still hectic over at View To The Hill household and I've scarcely had a minute to view my fave blogs let alone write a post for my own. I'm well behind with everything I can tell you.
Thrifting wise car boots sales are most definitely on their last legs around here. At the last one I bought only a tin of wood wax..... nope it wasn't worth getting up at 6am for!
To be honest I only got up at that time because I was in hope of finding something for my new collection..... My Sindy Dolls!
Yep, I've decided to collect back all those dolls and bits and bobs my Mum told me I was 'too old for' when I turned 13. I'm a good bit older now and found that a lot of women my age still collect these dolls (which are no longer produced). And yes, their Mums told them they were too old for them too! Anyhow I've been naughty and made an evilbay Sindy purchase - mind you it was only £2 so I've hardly broke the bank and my new brunette Ballerina replaces my childhood one (she had a wonky leg too - perhaps they had both been over training).
Anyway, I was thinking... Surely other people out there who read and comment are creating meaningful collections so come on anyone reading this..... dig out those nostalgia collections and put them on your blog. I know a few of you have doll's houses and Lorraine and Lindy if you are reading this I want to see your Sindy's!!
What else has been happening....?
Oh yes I went to a lovely Church Bazaar at the weekend and there I made a few purchases; several books on fishing for the Dh (boring so I won't bore you with photos), a little something for the m-i-l (so I can't show you) and then two more purchases that I can show you.
A H-U-G-E cake dome (big enough to fit a gateau under) which cost 75p

Also this box of soaps (£2) which are now unpacked and live under the cake dome (calorie free cookies ;-) )
Have to say I'm not sure the fake cookies under the glass dome are working..... I come in from the garden or taking the dogs out and literally STARVE when I see those chocolate digestives.
Hope you are all having a good week.
Ta-ra for now
Sharie

Gataeu!! thats my girl! These are the words that shout out at me. i just dont buy any cake-y things, or bake - I just eat them! I liked the idea of those soap ones, they look so realistic, mind you I think it would just make my mouth water too.
I'm still findin the carboots okay at the moment, odds and sods of vintage-y finds, its just cold on Mona showground - but you will remember Anglesey winds!
Take care x Vicky x
